Privacy policy
This page describes how the current version of SumHexa handles data when you use its calculators.
Contact request retention
For the retention period currently applied, contact privacy@sumhexa.com.
Deleting a request does not immediately remove all copies, including those in email exchanges or backups. Erasure requests must also be handled in those systems according to their capabilities and retention cycles.
Data controller
The publisher, identified in the legal notice, is responsible for data processing carried out to operate SumHexa. For personal data matters, contact privacy@sumhexa.com.
Calculations in your browser
Measurement, date, mathematics, everyday and BMI calculators run in your browser. SumHexa does not send their input values to its server or keep a history of those calculations. If you choose, the catalogue can store your favorite tools and the ten most recently viewed tools locally, without inputs or results.
Currency conversion
SumHexa processes the amount, currencies, source and selected date to perform the conversion without retaining the amount. Our exchange-rate provider, Frankfurter, receives the currencies, institution and, when needed, the requested date, but not your amount.
Appearance preference
Your Light, Dark or System choice is saved by your browser. You can change it in the menu or remove it by clearing site data in your browser settings.
Hosting and security
We use information needed to operate and protect the service, including IP addresses, pages visited, timestamps and browser information. This information does not provide a history of your calculation values.
Providers and international transfers
OVHcloud hosts the service. Cloudflare helps provide access to the site, protect it and send or receive emails. Google provides the receiving mailbox. Some processing by these providers may take place outside the European Economic Area. Cloudflare describes safeguards relying, depending on the transfer, on the Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses. Provider information is available below; you can request further details from privacy@sumhexa.com.
Browsing data retention
We do not retain inputs from calculations performed on your device or amounts used for currency conversions. Favorites and the ten most recently viewed tools stay in your browser until deleted or you clear site data. Connection information is replaced automatically; its retention time varies with service activity. The theme preference stays in your browser until changed or cleared. Providers describe their data retention criteria in their policies.
Contact requests
The form collects your email address, subject and message, required to handle your request. This information is retained and forwarded to our team to respond to your request. Only people authorised by the publisher have access. When you email us directly, the publisher receives your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. Our email providers help deliver and receive these messages. Avoid sending sensitive data that is not necessary for your request.
Email correspondence retention
Email correspondence and attachments are retained while your request is being handled, then deleted from our mailbox 30 days after resolution, without archiving. This period applies to the mailbox; requests recorded through the form follow the separate retention period shown below. Deleting an email does not by itself delete the request recorded in SumHexa.
Purposes and legal bases
Connection data is processed to provide and secure the service, based on the publisher’s legitimate interest in operating a functioning, protected website. Handling general and support enquiries relies on its legitimate interest in responding to users. Requests to exercise data protection rights are handled to comply with data protection obligations.
Your rights
Depending on the processing and applicable conditions, you may request access, correction, erasure or restriction of your data, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Data portability applies in the cases covered by the GDPR. Send requests to privacy@sumhexa.com. You can also complain to the French data protection authority, the CNIL.
Advertising and analytics
Our public counters aggregate uses per tool and month, without input values, results or visitor identifiers. A random submission identifier prevents duplicates; it expires after ten minutes and is deleted on a subsequent submission. Aggregate totals are kept indefinitely and do not represent unique visitors. The contact form may use Cloudflare security verification, which processes technical information needed to protect against bots. On sumhexa.com, Google Analytics, provided by Google, may measure pages viewed, interactions and information about the device and browser. It loads only after you consent, and you can withdraw consent at any time using “Cookie settings” in the footer. Consent is the legal basis for this measurement. Without consent, no audience data is sent to Google. Possible transfers and provider details are described in “Providers and international transfers”. No advertising script is enabled.
